How we handle personal data on globemarine.no. Globe Marine is part of Globe Energy Norway AS.
In brief
- The website does not use cookies and has no tools for statistics or tracking.
- The test programs calculate in your browser. The figures you enter are not sent to us and are not stored.
- The image analysis for compressors sends the image you choose for analysis. The image is not stored by us.
- We process information about you only when you contact us yourself by e-mail or telephone.
Data controller
Globe Energy Norway AS (org. no. 934 108 787), Surfellingen 2, 1739 Borgenhaugen, Norway, is the data controller. Questions about privacy can be sent to post@globemarine.no.
When you visit the website
The website is hosted by Netlify, Inc., a US company. When you open the page, Netlify records your IP address, which browser you use, which page is requested and which page you came from. The information is needed to deliver the page and keep it secure. Netlify processes it on our behalf under a data processing agreement.
Fonts, logo, images and datasheets are hosted on our own site.
When you use the image analysis
On the page "Find the compressor from an image" you yourself submit images of the compressor. The images go via our server at Netlify to Anthropic (USA), which analyses them on our behalf as a data processor. We do not store the images, and the answer is shown only in your browser. Avoid people and other personal data in the images.
If you send an enquiry after the analysis, it is sent from your own e-mail program. What is stated under "When you contact us" then applies.
When you contact us
When you send us an e-mail or call, we process your name, contact details and what you tell us in the enquiry. We use the information to reply to you, provide quotations and follow up the customer relationship.
The legal basis is our legitimate interest in answering enquiries (GDPR Article 6(1)(f)) and contract or steps prior to entering into a contract (Article 6(1)(b)).
Storage and deletion
Enquiries that do not lead to a customer relationship are normally deleted within 12 months. Information about customers is stored for as long as the customer relationship lasts, and thereafter for as long as the bookkeeping rules require.
Sharing with others
We never sell personal data. We share it only with suppliers who process data on our behalf, for example to operate the website, and only under a data processing agreement. Transfers outside the EEA take place with safeguards under the GDPR, Chapter V.
Your rights
You can request access to the information we hold about you, and have it corrected or deleted. You can also request that processing be restricted, object to processing based on legitimate interest, and request that the information be handed over to you (data portability).
Send an e-mail to post@globemarine.no. We reply within one month at the latest.
If you believe we process information in breach of the rules, you can complain to Datatilsynet (the Norwegian Data Protection Authority).
Changes
We update this page when the website or the processing changes.
